The setting of goals is an overwhelming task but ultimately a rewarding process. Publishing with Flatworld is fantastic and a shining sceptre that leads creative thinkers to their writing and publishing destination. Our goal is to create a platform for both old and new writers to actualise their vision of seeing their dreams in print. We also make creative thinkers think big by educating them on how to write saleable works. We have credible peer-reviewers whose editing skills support the challenges that authors/writers of scholarly works face. To achieve the set goals, we identify what we want for a target audience and measure our success from the results obtained. We examine how realistic the challenging factors are in terms of funds and prefer solutions. Manuscripts submitted for publication must pass through the following steps: first, the plagiarism test, measured at zero tolerance. Second, it must rise through our editors' proofreading and editing scale and, finally, through the peer reviewer's eagle eyes.

Peer Review Service

As publishers, the strength and vitality of published works centres on high-quality manuscripts peer review. The primary element that promotes excellence in published papers is peer review, especially in educational books/journals. Our peer review exercise allows authors to improve the quality and clarity of their manuscripts besides making decisions on manuscripts that should be published and those that should not. It is also the goal of this organisation to mentor new peer reviewers on how to improve the quality of the peer review process by providing guidelines for conducting a comprehensive, partial and fair review of authors. Our peer review team are selected based on their knowledge of areas of experience/interest. Our reviewers complete their reviews within the suggested timeframe of 2 weeks. We keep our reviewers open to authors so that both can interact after peer review. But suppose an author, for instance, is dissatisfied with a review exercise and with cogent reasons as determined by the general editor, and we assigned a new reviewer to the manuscript. However, our peer review team focuses on reading the manuscript with a critical, objective and fair eye. Our firm has a format for peer review comments. The general overview of what the general editor expects includes: the goal and significant findings of the work, besides detailed comments on the manuscript's title, abstract, introductions, methods, results, discussions, references, figures & tables, among others.

Proofreading & Editing Services

Flatworld publishing limited focuses on proofing and editing text written in English. For proofreading, we correct errors on the surface, such as grammar, spelling and punctuation. And we edit manuscripts to improve the quality of writing to enhance readability and structure. The organisation offers various editing types depending on the author's request. For instance, we do copy editing, line editing, substantive editing and developmental editing. Our proofreading & editing cements authors writing style and ideas, embedded in the organisation, paragraph structure and content of the manuscript(s).
